Anissa Pietzyk

Hello! My name is Anissa Pietzyk, and I am an artist currently enrolled at the University of South Dakota’s BFA program. I am a fine arts major with an emphasis in painting, as well as a creative writing minor. I have always been interested in the visual arts, but grew especially close to them during the 2020 pandemic and lockdown. My primary focus is illustration, and I am especially fond of traditional inking methods, more specifically the use of dip pens. Stylistically I draw from comics quite often, as well as a faster, gestural style I became familiar with through figure drawing.
